Ben got in touch the week before, excited about the times ahead and his idea to have it forever documented on analog film. He told me all about him and Ange, and his plans to propose during her birthday week somewhere along the water in Fairlight on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Location posed a challenge. it's a popular stretch and he wanted somewhere secluded and private, but still beautiful and relaxed for an afternoon picnic. So Ben and I met up in Fairlight to walk through his proposal ideas and find the perfect spot together.

Being a Northern Beaches local, I know the family who runs the little boatshed by the water, and I suggested the jetty would be ideal for what he had in mind. I think we were equally blown away by how perfect it would be for the two of them.
Five days later it was all happening, and I was hiding in disguise. So much love and happiness as she said YES!
