Over several years I had the privilege of capturing events across Judith Neilson's remarkable world — from gallery openings and cultural gatherings at Phoenix Central Park in Chippendale and White Rabbit Gallery, to music and performing arts events at Dangrove, her extraordinary art storage facility, and intimate occasions at The Church. Each space carried its own distinct atmosphere and sense of occasion, and each event its own quiet significance.
My approach was primarily documentary and editorial. Present without intruding, capturing the conversations, the connections, the details, the moments between moments and the essence of each event. Working across such culturally rich and architecturally distinctive spaces and being immersed in the arts was incredibly inspiring.
