This campaign for Merry People celebrates friendship, freedom and city living at every stage of life. Set against the vibrant urban backdrop of Marrickville in Sydney's inner west, we follow two distinct pairs of friends. One older, bold and eccentrically styled; the other younger, relaxed and relatable, as they move through the city together.
The energy is joyful, curious and confident. It's about friendships across all ages and the shared experiences that connect us — laughing over coffee, walking with purpose, taking in views, and finding the everyday magic of city life.

Merry People brought me on not just as photographer but as a creative collaborator — closely involved in pre-production, sourcing the younger talent, location scouting across Marrickville, planning the order of the day and managing on-the-day logistics. Getting to roam the inner west together and connect with local businesses made this such a special one. And I'll admit, the post-production colour grading to get every photo to its true colour perfection was my kind of geeky fun too. True colours are such an important part of campaigns for products where you specifically need to see the right colour.
